The 1st Southeastern Europe Broadband Conference and Expo took place in Belgrade, April 10 to 12, 2006. This groundbreaking event was very successful in gathering business leaders of the SEE Broadband industry and the world leading vendors. The event had number of significant first time ever accomplishments. Stability Pact of Southeastern Europe, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and private company Technology Networking International (TNI) joined hands for the first time to address the needs of the growing SEE market and find a way to bridge the digital divide behind this important region. The regional operators, providers, the leaders of economic associations and regulatory bodies for the first time shared their experience and plans at one place. With more then 50 participating companies, close to 100 presentations, 470 registered delegates, and 115 accredited press members, and more then 800 guests at the opening keynote ceremony the event attracted strong attention in the region, and raised high expectations from the follow up events.

The event was also marked with the fascinating performance of the Lola National Assemble on April 10th with “Two Evergreens” concert and folk dance program gathering more than 3000 people at Sava Center Blue Hall.
